This past Wednesday morning I found myself at the airport well before my departure time to Denver. Much to my chagrin I realized I had left the books I am presently reading at home, which will leave me with little to do on my two flight. So as I am perusing the various books in one of the stores in the airport I came across Neil deGrasse Tyson's "Astrophysics for People in a Hurry". It's small frame with just 208 pages is, as you can probably imagine, packed with all sorts of intriguing, intellectual cosmos nuggets of wisdom. But Tyson has pared down these sometimes hard to grasp concepts to something even a dumb ass like me can understand. His humor and general writing style made it possible for me to fly through this book in just a few hours. If the cosmos is even a slightly interesting subject matter to you (I cannot imagine it being any other way) then the time you spend with this book will be fruitful.
